Yes! I found the transition from one to two so much easier than zero to one. I already knew what I was going to need and had help in place. For my first, I thought I could work from home by myself- didn’t make that mistake the second time around lol. It’s amazing though how much time you suddenly realized you had with one. Now if one kid finally sleeps in the other wakes up early, there is no escaping.

So true! It's so nice to be able to have that foresight this time around - I totally agree.

I had a horrible post partum experience with my first. I was so sick I couldn’t eat for weeks. I am thinking about more kids but I couldn’t imagine potentially going through that again!

There are countless unknowns in pregnancy and postpartum -- I totally hear you. The upside is that if you do have more kids, your postpartum journey could be completely different! There's no way to know, unfortunately. BUT I will say that having a second child was one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. She bring so much joy to our whole family, and the relationship that I already see flourishing between her and my older daughter is so beyond heartwarming 💗

That’s so sweet to say and about your daughter’s relationship!

Yes-I think what happened to me with my first was not normal, so if I have a second hopefully the recovery will go much more smoothly.

I am 9 weeks out with my second and I agree on so many of these points. It’s so much easier and enjoyable this time around. I had very bad postpartum anxiety last round and I was nervous it would be the same but it’s been wonderful. Though I am 2/2 on tongue ties unfortunately. But even that is easier to navigate the second time around. And piece of advice for those navigating it - get good lactation support if you are able. I did this time and it made such a world of difference.
